Why Did I Leave Florida?

A few years ago I left my home state of Florida to join the cesspool inside the beltway. My new adopted state is deep blue Maryland, where the Governor is busy trying to tax everything he can think of, having apparently not learned the lesson of Illinois. My new state is incapable of producing anyone like Marco Rubio, whose CPAC speech today provided a robust defense of American exceptionalism, and a policy-specific beatdown of President Obama’s tenure.

Delivered to a not yet full room, as a large number of attendees were wallowing in registration lines that I am convinced are being manned by liberals this year, Rubio provided what none of the Republican presidential candidates have proven able to: a clear and concise explanation of limited government conservatism and how it contrasts to the failure of Obamunism. Draft Rubio!

From a 60 year resident of Taxachusetts on the Chesapeake, the cradle of graft, you have my sympathies. I had a job offer in Texas years ago that I turned down because of familial guilt.
