The Cost Of Indoctrination

If there are 48,755,772 public school students in America, and it costs taxpayers on average $9866 per student for a 180 day school year…

…then a 15 minute speech by Barack Obama to all public school children will cost taxpayers roughly $83.5 million.  If he drones on for a full hour, the cost jumps to $334 million.

$334 million is more than the production budget for Titanic, one of the most expensive films ever made (adjusted for inflation).  Except in this case, Obama is the iceburg and America is the unsinkable ship, and nobody has the option of walking out of the theater when it starts to suck.

Where I live, the average house will bring a property tax bill of over $4,000.  Assuming this held true nationwide and was the main source of funding for public school, then 83,500 average homeowning families will shell out their property tax burden for the year just to pay for Obama’s speech.
