Laugh Of The Day

NPR has a fluff piece on Obama today.  The author dropped some unintended comedy on us by using a title which claims, ” LBJ Arm-Twisting? Not Really Obama’s Style.”

Ha!

Oh yes, there’s no arm twisting from this Chicago pol.  He would never pressure a CEO out of office, or try to cajole health industry groups by lying about what they said behind closed doors.

You would think that NPR would be just a bit embarrassed when AP reported, just last week, that Obama was “doing some Oval Office arm-twisting on health care” with two wayward Senators.

“…Or else,” is practically the man’s catch phrase!

UPDATE: This post a few days back from Heritage’s Foundry cited more evidence:

Yesterday’s Wall Street Journal reports on a secret “memorandum of understanding” that apparently orders Bank of America to replace a majority of its board of directors (after already replacing former Chairman Ken Lewis). And the Financial Times reports that Citigroup is near a “secret deal” with the FDIC to restructure its operations and board.
